지속 가능한 미래 교육은 환경적, 사회적, 기술적 문제 해결을 위해 꼭 필요한 교육 패러다임으로 자리를 잡고 있다. 본 연구는 가상현실(VR) 기술이 이러한 교육 패러다임을 실현하는 데 어떻게 이바지할 수 있는지를 탐구하며, 먼저 지속 가능한 미래 교육의 개념과 중요성을 논의하고 이를 실현하기 위한 핵심 요소로서 가상현실 기술의 특성과 교육적 잠재력을 분석한다. 특히, 가상현실을 활용한 환경교육, 창의적 문제 해결 능력 함양, 공평한 학습 기회 제공 등에서의 효과적인 적용 사례를 중심으로 그 가능성을 검토하였다. 또한, 가상현실 기반 교육의 한계점과 이를 해결하기 위한 윤리적 고려사항을 논의하며, 지속 가능한 교육 모델로 나아가기 위한 정책적, 기술적 지원 방안을 제시한다. 연구 결과, 가상현실은 몰입형 학습 환경을 통해 학습자의 참여도를 높이고, 현실에서 체험하기 어려운 문제를 시뮬레이션할 수 있다는 점에서 오래갈 교육에 중요한 역할을 할 수 있음을 확인하며 이를 통해, 가상현실은 환경적 문제 해결, 기술적 진보, 사회적 형평성을 촉진하는 데 이바지할 수 있는 잠재력이 크다는 결론을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 가상현실을 기반으로 한 지속 가능한 미래 교육 모델을 제시하며, 기술 융합이 교육 분야에서 미칠 긍정적인 영향을 탐구하며 또한, 연구 결과는 향후 관련 연구와 정책 수립에 중요한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 가상현실을 활용한 지속 가능한 교육 모델은 학습자에게 더 실용적이고 혁신적인 교육 경험을 제공하고 최종적으로 다양한 환경적, 사회적 도전 과제에 대응할 수 있는 중요한 도구가 될 것이다.

Sustainable future education is becoming an essential educational paradigm to address environmental, social, and technological issues. This study explores how virtual reality (VR) technology can contribute to realizing this educational paradigm. It first discusses the concept and importance of sustainable future education and analyzes the characteristics and educational potential of VR technology as a key element in achieving it. The study particularly examines effective application cases in environmental education, fostering creative problem-solving skills, and providing equitable learning opportunities using VR. Additionally, the study discusses the limitations of VR-based education and ethical considerations to address these issues, proposing policy and technical support measures to advance towards a sustainable education model. The results of the study confirm that VR can play a significant role in sustainable education by enhancing learner engagement through immersive learning environments and simulating problems that are difficult to experience in reality. Through this, VR has great potential to contribute to solving environmental issues, promoting technological progress, and fostering social equity. This study presents a sustainable future education model based on VR, exploring the positive impacts of technological convergence in the field of education. Furthermore, the research results can serve as important foundational data for future related research and policy formulation. A sustainable education model utilizing VR can provide learners with more practical and innovative educational experiences and ultimately become a crucial tool in addressing various environmental and social challenges.
