관형격 조사 ‘의’의 한·중·일 대조 연구 - 실현 양상을 중심으로

A Contrastive Study of the Adnominal Case Marker ‘ui’ in Korean, Chinese, and Japanese, with a Focus on Its Function in Linguistic Systems.

본 연구는 한국어 관형격 조사 ‘의’의 실현 양상을 중국어’的' 및 일본어’的'의 유사한 구조와 대조하여 탐구하는 것을 목표로 한다. 한국어 명사구 내에서 ‘의’가 어떻게 기능하는지를 조사하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 ‘의’의 사용을 선행 명사와 후행 명사 간의 통사적 및 의미적 관계에 따라 수의적, 필수적, 실현될 수 없는 경우의 세 가지 범주로 논의한다. 체계적인 예문 분석을 통해 한국어, 중국어, 일본어에서의 유사성과 차이성을 구체적으로 밝히며, ‘의’의 역할을 중국어 및 일본어의 대응 표현과 함께 분석함으로써 이러한 조사가 각 언어 체계 내에서 어떻게 작용하는지를 탐구한다. 본 연구의 결과는 ‘의’의 복잡성을 명확히 밝힘으로써, 그 다양한 양상을 이해하고 탐구하는 데 기여하며, 언어 대조 연구를 위한 자료를 제공한다.

The study aims to explore the using patterns of the Korean adnominal case marker ‘ui’ by comparing it with similar structures in Chinese and Japanese. To investigate how ‘ui’ functions within Korean noun phrases, this paper classifies the use of ‘ui’ into three categories:optional, obligatory, and unacceptable, depending on the syntactic and semantic relationships between the preceding and following nouns. By systematically analyzing examples, the study highlights both the similarities and differences in the use of this adnominal case marker in Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. Also, by examining the functional roles of ‘ui’ alongside its counterparts in Chinese and Japanese, there search aims to offer a thorough understanding of how these markers function within their linguistic systems. Through clarifying the complexities of marker ‘ui’, the results are anticipated to enhance the understanding of this adnominal case marker, offering insights for language learners and educators towards the certain features of these languages. In addition, the study addresses the limitations of previous research and lays the foundation for future studies on the syntactic complexities related to the marker.
