혁신교수법과 전통적 교수지원프로그램에 참여한 교원의 교수역량 차이 분석: M전문대학 사례를 중심으로

An Analysis of the Difference in Teaching Competency Between Faculty Members Participating in Innovative Teaching Methods and Traditional Teaching Support Programs: A Case Study of M College

목적 본 연구에서는 대학 교원의 교수역량을 유형화하고, 혁신교수법과 전통적인 교수지원프로그램에 참여한 교원 간 교수역량의 차이를 분석하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 M전문대학의 교원을 대상으로 2023년 12월 2주간 혁신교수법, 전통적 교수법 프로그램 참여 여부, 교수역량 등을 온라인으로 조사하였다. 74명의 데이터를 대상으로 정규성을 검증한 후 군집분석과 ANOVA 등으로 연구가설을 검증하였다. 결과 M전문대학 교원의 교수역량은 우수한 수준으로 나타났으며, 교수역량의 수준은 우수집단과 저성취집단으로 분류되었다. 우수집단에서는 수업관리 및 평가, 수업개선 능력이 다소 높았으며, 저성취집단에서는 학생참여, 수업개선 능력이 낮았다. 일회성 프로그램과 혁신교수법을 모두 참여한 집단과 일회성 프로그램에만 참여한 집단 간에 유의한 차이를 보였으며 혁신교수법과 교수역량 군집집단 간 상호작용 효과가 나타났다. 결론 연구결과, 수업개선 능력이 매우 중요한 교수역량이며 혁신교수법과 같은 장기 프로그램의 발전방안과 교수역량 유형에 맞는 맞춤형 교수법에 대해 제언하였다.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to categorize the teaching competency of university faculty members and analyze the differences in teaching competency between those participating in innovative teaching methods and traditional teaching support programs. Methods We surveyed the Professors of M colleges for two weeks in December 2023, whether they participated in the traditional teaching method program or Innovative teaching program, and professors' competencies. After verifying regularity for 74 data, research hypotheses were verified with cluster analysis and ANOVA. Results The teaching competency of faculty members at M College was found to be at a high level, and their competency levels were classified into excellent and low-achieving groups. The excellent group showed relatively higher abilities in class management, assessment, and teaching improvement, while the low-achieving group had lower abilities in student participation and teaching improvement. Significant differences were found between the group that participated in both the one-time program and innovative teaching methods and the group that participated only in the one-time program. An interaction effect between the innovative teaching methods and teaching competency cluster groups was also observed. Conclusions The study concluded that teaching improvement ability is a crucial teaching competency and recommended long-term programs, such as innovative teaching methods, as well as customized teaching methods tailored to teaching competency types.
