The Effects of Happiness and Happiness Growth of Individuals with Hearing Impairments on Disability Acceptance and Positive Interpersonal Relationships: A Multi-Group Analysis Based on Employment Stability

연구목적: 본 연구는 취업 안정성이 청각장애인의 행복과 행복성장에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 장애수용 및 긍정적 대인관계와의 관계를 살펴보았다. 연구방법: 장애인 고용패널 2차 웨이브 조사 데이터를 활용해 19세 이상 청각장애인 254명을 대상으로 Mplus7을 사용하여 무조건부 잠재성장모형, 조건부 잠재성장모형 다집단 분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 취업 안정성에 따라 행복 초기치 평균은 차이를 보였으나, 행복성장의 변화율은 유사하게 선형 증가했다. 둘째, 행복(초기값)과 행복성장(변화율)은 장애수용을 유의하게 예측했으며, 집단 간에 효과의 차이는 없었다. 셋째, 행복(초기값)과 행복성장은 긍정적 대인관계에도 유의미한 영향을 미쳤고, 집단 간에 효과의 차이는 없었다. 결론: 청각장애인의 행복 초기치와 행복성장이 높을수록 장애수용과 긍정적 대인관계가 향상됨을 시사한다.

Purpose: This study analyzed the effects of job stability on the happiness and happiness growth of individuals with hearing disabilities and examined their relationships with disability acceptance and positive interpersonal relationships. Methods: Data from the second wave of the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled were utilized, targeting 254 hearing-impaired individuals aged 19 or older. Multi-group analyses using unconditional and conditional latent growth models were conducted with Mplus7. Results: First, the initial level of happiness differed between the job stability and instability groups, but the growth rates of happiness showed similar linear increases over time. Second, the initial happiness and happiness growth significantly predicted disability acceptance, with no differences in effects between groups. Third, the initial happiness and happiness growth also significantly influenced positive interpersonal relationships, with no differences in effects between groups. Conclusion: Higher initial happiness and happiness growth among individuals with hearing disabilities were associated with greater disability acceptance and better positive interpersonal relationships.
