With the high “physical reproduction” of modern society, Human society has entered an era of consumption, The purpose of consumption has also changed from consumption with value to consumption of symbolic value. The transition directly leads to the loss of self.In the consumer society , all consumption is out of the essence needs of people, which makes people lose in alienated consumption: that is, the consumption of objects becomes a symbol of consumption, which makes people lose in unlimited desires and comparisons. ; Casual consumption has become a symbolic consumption, which makes people lose in false identity and sensory desire; physical consumption has become aesthetic consumption, which makes people lose in physical aesthetic consumption and plastic body consumption. This loss comes from the false propaganda of alien labor, the media, and the empty cavity of the heart.
随着现代社会高度“物性繁殖”,人类社会迈入了一个消费的时代,消费的目的也由使用价值的消费变成了符号价值的消费,这种转变导致了人的自我迷失。在消费社会中,一切的消费都脱离了人的本质需要,让人迷失在异化消费之中:即物的消费变成符号的消费,让人在无限的欲望和攀比中迷失;休闲的消费变成了象征性的消费,让人在虚假的身份和感官欲望中迷失;身体的消费变成了审美的消费,让人在身体审美化消费和可塑性身体消费中迷失。这种迷失就其根源来自异化劳动、媒体的虚假宣传与自我内心的空洞。
