The purpose of this study was to explore ways to link and mutually recognize the accreditation for engineering education system and course-based qualifications system using learning outcome assessment. The realization of such a linkage plan can externally secure the effectiveness of accreditation for engineering education and strengthen the international competitiveness of engineering education, and internally, it can contribute to improving the employment rate and efficiency of academic operation by strengthening the competitiveness of students under the two systems. In order to achieve the research purpose, literature review on the national qualification system and accreditation for engineering education system was conducted and was analyzed cases for the advanced mechanical and information engineering major at H University in Sejong. H University's advanced mechanical and information engineering major satisfies the completion standards by dividing the curriculum into core competency, essential competency units, optional competency units, and non-NCS training courses to acquire qualifications as a mechanical design engineer. An evaluation plan was established and implemented according to the NCS learning module to evaluate the students' achievement level. A policy support plan was presented to minimize and establish the administrative burden of operating the two systems.
