교육민영화 추구 원리에 기반한 홈스쿨링의 교육적 원리 탐색

Exploration of the educational principles of homeschooling based on the principles of educational privatization

연구목적: 본 연구는 교육민영화 추구 원리에 기반하여 선진사례인 미국 홈스쿨링을 중심으로 홈스쿨링의 교육적 원리를 탐색하고 한국 홈스쿨링의 제도화 방향을 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 교육민영화 및 홈스쿨링 수익과 관련한 선행연구를 대상으로 내용 분석을 진행하고, 분석결과에 대한 해석적 근거를 바탕으로 연구목적을 달성하는 문헌연구방법을 활용하였다. 연구결과: 홈스쿨링은 교육의 자율성을 추구하면서 교육의 수월성 및 효율성을 제고하여 교육의 목표를 달성할 수 있는 교육 형태이므로 한국에서도 제도화할 필요가 있다. 결론: 향후 한국 홈스쿨링의 제도화 추진 과정에서 홈스쿨링의 정책적 설계에 활용될 수 있는 유의미한 지침을 제언하였다.

Purpose: This study aims to explore the educational principles of homeschooling, focusing on the United States model within the framework of educational privatization, and to examine the direction for institutionalizing homeschooling in South Korea. Method: A literature review was conducted, utilizing interpretative analysis based on the content of previous studies related to educational privatization and homeschooling benefit. Results: Homeschooling, which promotes educational autonomy while enhancing educational excellence and efficiency, has the potential to achieve educational goals, indicating the need for its institutionalization. Conclusion: The study provides meaningful guidelines for policy design in the process of institutionalizing homeschooling in South Korea.
