Exploring the meaning of village education community through metaphor analysis

연구목적: 마을교육공동체의 성장과 함께 지역별로 그 의미를 자의적으로 해석하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 마을공동체 참여자들을 대상으로 마을교육공동체의 합의된 실천적 개념을 도출하고자 한다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 마을교육공동체 관련 활동에 참여하고 있는 활동가, 행정지원가, 교육·연구자를 대상으로, 지역의 범위를 제한하지 않고 은유 분석 방법론에 근거하여 설문조사를 진행하였으며, 최종 259건을 5단계의 자료분석을 통해 개념을 범주화하였다. 연구결과: 마을교육공동체의 은유 표현은 건강한 미래, 연결망, 풍요로운 삶의 3가지로 구분되었다. 첫째, 건강한 미래로 성장, 미래, 희망의 이미지가 나타났다. 둘째, 연결망으로는 어울림, 협력, 관계망의 확장, 소통, 균형의 이미지로 분석되었다. 셋째, 풍요로운 삶으로는 삶의 원천, 삶과 앎의 공존, 버팀목, 도전으로 표현되었다. 결론: 연구 결과는 전국 마을교육공동체의 지속 성장을 위해 일반적이며 보편적인 활동 방향 및 역량 강화 교육과정 수립에 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

Purpose: To derive the agreed empirical meaning of the village education community for the participants of the village education community. Method: A survey was conducted according to the metaphor analysis methodology without limiting the scope of the region for activists, administrators, and educators participating in activities related to the village education community. According to the metaphor analysis procedure, 256 cases were categorized as inductive content analysis. Results: It was divided into three categories: a healthy future, a network, and a rich life. First, the image of growth, future, and hope appeared as a healthy future. Second, the network was analyzed as an image of harmony, cooperation, network expansion, communication, and balance. Third, as a rich life, it was expressed as the coexistence of life, life, knowledge, support, and challenge. Conclusion: It can be used as basic data for establishing a curriculum for strengthening the direction of activity and capacity of the village education community.
