체계적 문헌고찰을 통한 초등 학습부진 및 학습장애아동의 수학 문장제 문제해결 연구 특성 및 관련 변인 분석

A Synthesis of Research on Mathematical Word Problem-Solving in Elementary Students with Mathematics Difficulties and/or Learning Disabilities: A Systematic Literature Review

연구목적: 본 연구에서는 초등 연령의 학습부진 및 학습장애(MD/LD) 학생의 수학문장제 문제 해결 능력에 영향을 미치는 변인을 확인하고, 통합 학급에서 활용 가능한 교수ㆍ학습 전략 구성을 위한 함의를 도출하고자 선행 연구를 대상으로 체계적 문헌 분석 접근을 활용하였다. 연구방법: 2000년부터 2024년 상반기까지 등재(후보)지에 게재된 국내 학술지들을 대상으로 하였으며, 문헌 선정을 위한 포함 및 배제요건 적용을 통해 최종적으로 일치하는 연구 총 25편을 선정하여 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 초등 4, 5, 6학년 MD/LD 학생을 포함한 중재연구가 가장 비율이 높았다. 둘째, 문장제 문제해결 능력 평가를 위해 교육과정 및 교과서에 기반하여 검사도구를 제작한 경우가 가장 많았다. 셋째, 상관/예측연구에서 수학 문장제 문제해결 능력에 영향을 미치는 변인으로는 어휘, 작업기억, 연산능력 등으로 파악되었다. 끝으로, 실험설계연구를 통하여 도식/표상기반교수, 초인지전략 등이 문장제 문제 해결능력 향상에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 MD/LD 선별 기준과 평가 방향, 다양한 연구설계 적용을 통한 관련 변인 도출 필요성, 수학 문장제 문제해결 전략 현장 적용을 위한 제언 측면에서 논의하였다.

Purpose: This study aimed to synthesize previous studies on mathematical word problem-solving of students with mathematics difficulties and/or learning disabilities(MD/LD) using a systematic literature review and to provide instructional implications for students with MD/LD in inclusive settings. Method: Previous peer-reviewed studies published in 2000 through first half of 2024 in KCI journals were screened using inclusion/exclusion criteria, which resulted in finally 25 studies to be analyzed. Results: First, most participants were in Grades 4 through 6 in intervention studies. Second, the majority of selected studies applied standardized assessments to screen and identify research participants. Third, mathematical word problem-solving questions/items were developed based on the math curriculum and/or primary textbooks in most studies. Forth, scheme-based and/or representation strategies were effective in improving mathematical word problem-solving abilities of students with MD/LD. Conclusion: Based on the findings, directions and suggestions for future research and practice were discussed.
