Exploring the Meaning and Direction of Convergence Education Derived from the Personal Success Experiences of the Baby Boomer Generation

연구목적: 본 연구는 성공 경험을 가진 베이비붐 세대의 생애 경험을 분석하여, 이들이 형성한 교육적 가치관과 융합교육의 의미를 탐색하는 것을 주요 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 성공 경험을 가진 베이비붐 세대를 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 진행하고, 인터뷰 결과를 질적 분석 하였다. 연구결과: 연구 결과, 베이비붐 세대의 성공 경험이 시사하는 융합교육 주요 방향성은 사고력에 기반한 창의성, 직무 수행을 위한 전문 지식, 공동체와 함께하는 인성 교육, 변화하는 환경에 대한 능동적 태도, 본질적인 행복 추구가 있다. 논의 및 결론: 베이비붐 세대의 생애 경험을 바탕으로 변화하는 세상에서도 적응할 수 있는 융합인재를 양성할 필요가 있다. 이를 위해서는 이 연구의 결과에서 도출한 주요 특징을 중심으로 융합교육이 필요하다.

Purpose: The primary purpose of this study is to analyze the life experiences of successful Baby Boomers to explore their educational values and the meaning of convergence education. Method: This study conducted in-depth interviews with Baby Boomers who have experienced success and qualitatively analyzed the interview results. Results: The findings indicated that successful Baby Boomers emphasize key directions for convergence education, including creativity based on thinking, specialized knowledge for job performance, character education rooted in community values, proactive attitudes toward changing environments, and the pursuit of intrinsic happiness. Conclusion: Based on Baby Boomers' life experiences, it is essential to nurture convergent talents capable of adapting to a changing world. Convergence education should therefore focus on the main characteristics identified in this study.
