Short Form of the Korean Toddler Mental Health Screening Test

연구목적: 이 연구는 문항반응이론을 적용하여 한국형 유아 정신건강 선별검사의 문항 중 문항양호도가 우수한 항목을 선별하여 단축형을 구성하고, 그 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 한국형 유아 정신건강 선별검사의 표준화 표본 자료를 활용하여 문항반응모형 중 등급반응모형(graded response model)을 적용하였다. 언어발달, 운동발달, 주의 및 행동, 사회성발달, 정동 척도에 속한 100개 문항을 대상으로 문항변별도 크기, 문항범주난이도 간격의 균일성, 문항정보함수, 문항과 전체문항간의 상관계수, 문항제거시 신뢰도 지수(alpha if item deleted)를 종합적으로 검토하였다. 그 결과, 최종적으로 45개 문항을 선정하여 한국형 유아 정신건강 선별검사의 단축형을 구성하였다. 연구결과: 단축형 검사의 신뢰도를 검토한 결과, 표준형과의 상관은 척도별로 .92~.98, 내적 합치도는 .92~.97, 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 .65~.84의 범위로 나타났다. 또한, 단축형 검사의 타당도를 평가한 결과, 유사한 개념을 측정하는 타당성 지표와 유의미한 상관관계를 보였다. 논의: 이러한 결과는 한국형 유아 정신건강 선별검사 단축형이 유아의 정신건강 선별을 보다 짧은 시간 내에 평가할 수 있는 검사도구로서 교육 현장과 병원에서 효과적으로 활용될 수 있음을 시사한다.

Purpose: This study aims to construct a shortened type by selecting the items with excellent item quality among the items of the Korean early childhood mental health screening test by applying the item response theory, and to verify the reliability and validity. Method: The graded response model was applied among the item response models by using the standardized sample data of the Korean toddler mental health screening test. The size of item discrimination, uniformity of item category difficulty interval, item information function, correlation coefficient between the item and all items, and reliability index when removing items were comprehensively reviewed for 100 items on 5 scales. As a result, 45 items were finally selected to form a shortened test. Results: As a result of reviewing the reliability of the shortened test, the correlation with the standard type ranged from .92 to .98 for each scale, the internal agreement ranged from .92 to .97, and the test-retest reliability ranged from .65 to .84. In addition, as a result of evaluating the validity of the shortened test, there was a significant correlation with the validity index that measures similar concepts. Conclusion: These results suggest that the Korean toddler mental health screening test can be effectively used in educational settings and hospitals as a testing tool to evaluate toddler' mental health screening in a shorter time.
