연구목적: 본 연구는 ‘사이 철학’을 중심 개념으로 삼아, 부엔 비비르와 우분투와의 비교를 통해 발전 개념의 존재론적 전환 가능성을 모색하고, 나아가 ‘사이 철학’을 관계 중심 대안 발전 담론으로 확장힐 수 있는 가능성을 탐색한다. 연구의 중요성: 본 연구는 관계론적 존재론에 기반하여 기존 발전 담론을 재구성함으로써, 지속가능성과 실천 가능성을 아우르는 새로운 대안 발전 패러다임 정립에 기여하고자 한다. 연구방법론: 관계론적 존재론의 관점에서 ‘사이 철학’, 부엔 비비르, 우분투의 핵심 개념을 비교⋅분석하고, 발전 개념의 철학적 재구성과 실천적 함의를 도출한다. 연구결과: 연구 결과, 부엔 비비르와 우분투는 ‘사이 철학’과 마찬가지로 관계론적 존재론을 공유하며, 발전을 공동체적 조화와 상호작용의 과정으로 이해한 다는 공통점을 지닌다. 이러한 철학적 접점은 ‘사이 철학’의 이론적 정당성을 강화하고, 발전 담론의 전환 가능성을 뒷받침한다. 결론 및 시사점: ‘사이 철학’은 단지 철학적 사유에 머무르지 않고, 국제개발협력이나 지역 공동체 기반 정책 등 다양한 실천 영역에서 적용 가능한 관계 중심 발전 패러다임으로 확장될 수 있다

Purpose: This study aims to explore the potential of ‘Inter-’ Philosophy as a central framework for a relational and alternative development paradigm, by examining the ontological reconfiguration of the concept of development through a comparative analysis with Buen Vivir, and Ubuntu. Originality: This study contributes to the reconfiguration of development discourse based on relational ontology, aiming to establish an alternative development paradigm that embraces both sustainability and practical applicability. Methodology: Employing a relational ontological perspective, this study compares and philosophically analyzes the key concepts of ‘Inter-’ Philosophy, Buen Vivir, and Ubuntu, and examines the theoretical reconstruction of development and its practical implications. Result: The analysis reveals that Buen Vivir and Ubuntu, like ‘Inter-’ Philosophy, are grounded in relational ontology and share a common understanding of development as a process of harmony and interaction. These philosophical convergences enhance the theoretical legitimacy of ‘Inter-’ Philosophy and support the potential for a paradigm shift in development discourse. Conclusion and Implication: The study demonstrates that ‘Inter-’ Philosophy can be extended beyond abstract theorization into various practical domains―such as international development cooperation and community-based policy design, as a relationally grounded alternative development paradigm.
