목적: 본고는 사고도구어(Academic vocabulary)에 관한 연구 성과를 분석하여 관련 연구의 추이와 그 특징을 정리하고 그 개념이 심화되고 확장되는 양상을 분석하여 사고도구어에 관한 학문적 이해를 심화하는 데 기여하고자 한다. 방법: 체계적 문헌 고찰을 통해 관련 연구 성과를 분석한다. 특히 A.V. 번역 용어의 차이와 개념 정의 부분에 주목한다. 결과: 학문적 관점을 취한 연구들은 상대적으로 전문어적 속성을 지닌 사고도구어에 더 주목하고 학습적 관점을 취한 연구들은 상대적으로 기초어휘적 속성을 지닌 사고도구어에 더 주목하는 경향이 있다. 전자는 학문 목적 한국어 학습자에, 후자는 다문화 배경 학습자나 학습 능력 부진 학생, 유아나 저학년 학생들에 관심을 갖는 경우가 많았다. 결론: 사고도구어의 개념은 연구 목적이나 관점에 맞게 변형되었으며 그 개념은 점차 심화·확장되고 있다.
Purpose: This paper aims to contribute to deepening the understanding of academic vocabulary by analyzing the research results and organizing the trends and characteristics of related research. Method: This paper analyzed related research results through systematic literature review. In particular, it pays attention to the differences in A.V. translation terms and the conceptual arrangement. Results: Studies taking an academic perspective tend to pay more attention to technical vocabulary properties, and studies taking a learning perspective tend to pay more attention to basic vocabulary properties. Conclusion: The concept of academic vocabulary has been transformed to suit the purpose or perspective of the study, and the concept is gradually deepening and expanding.
