한국어 고급 학습자의 구어 통사 숙달도 발달에 개인차 변인이 미치는 영향

The Impact of Individual Differences on the Oral Syntactic Proficiency of Advanced Korean Learners

목적: 본 연구의 목적은 개인차 변인들이 한국어 고급 학습자의 구어 통사 숙달도 발달에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저, 한국어 고급 학습자의 CAF 발달을 살피고, 다음으로 PSTM, EF, LCP 정도가 CAF 발달에 미치는 영향을 살핀다. 방법: 데이터 수집을 위해 한국어 고급 학습자 102명을 대상으로 mini-TOPIK을 실시하였으며, mini-TOPIK 점수를 바탕으로 스테나인 등급에 따라 하위·중위·상위 등급으로 분류하였다. 또한 이들 학습자를 대상으로 PSTM, EF(PAT, SRTT) 검사, LCP 설문을 측정하였다. 결과: 그 결과, 고급 학습자의 등급이 향상될수록 CAF 발달이 이루어졌으며, 부분적으로 인지적 처리 정도와 언어 접촉 정도가 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. SRTT가 부분적으로 상위 등급 학습자의 유창성에 영향을 미쳤으며, 전반적이고 특수한 목적의 한국어 쓰기 시간이 학습자의 정확성과 유창성에 각각 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 한국어 고급 학습자의 구어 통사 숙달도 발달에 개인차 변인이 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 검증하였다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.

Purpose: This study aims to examine the influence of individual differences on the development of oral syntactic proficiency in advanced Korean language learners. To this end, it investigates the development of CAF in advanced Korean learners at different proficiency levels and explores the effects of PSTM, EF(PAT, SRTT) and LCP on CAF development. Methods: Data were collected from 102 advanced Korean learners who completed the mini-TOPIK test. Participants were classified into low, intermediate and high level groups using the Stanine scale based on their mini-TOPIK scores. Additionally, their PSTM, EF(PAT, SRTT) and LCP were assessed. Results: The findings indicate that CAF measures improved as proficiency levels increased within the advanced learner group. Cognitive processing capacity and language contact had a partially significant effect on CAF development. Specifically, SRTT partially influenced fluency development in the high level group. Furthermore, the amount of time spent on general and purposeful writing significantly affected accuracy and fluency, respectively. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest the necessity of the use of teaching materials that are suitable for learners’ individual differences. Moreover, the study provides pedagogical implications by explaining the development of oral syntactic proficiency in advanced Korean language learners through individual difference variables.
