Convergence elective-subject Curriculum Development Model for School Autonomous Hours in Middle School

목적 이 연구의 목적은 중학교에서 학교자율시간에 운영할 수 있는 교과 융합 선택 과목 교육과정을 개발하기 위한 도구로써의 ‘중학교 학교자율시간 운영을 위한 교과 융합 선택 과목 교육과정 학습 경험 선정 기준’과 ‘중학교 학교자율시간 운영을 위한 교과 융합 선택 과목 교육과정 개발 모형’을 개발하는 데 있다. 방법 이를 위하여 문헌고찰을 통해 교사 교육과정 개발, 학교자율시간 내용 구성 기준 및 교과 융합 교육과정 개발을 위한 연구자별 학습 경험 선정 기준을 분석하여 공통적인 요소와 함께 학교자율시간 교육과정 개발에 필수적인 요소를 추가하여 종합하였고, 교사 교육과정 개발 모형과 교과 융합 교육과정 개발 모형의 성격과 절차를 분석하여 중학교 학교자율시간 운영을 위한 교과 융합 선택 과목 교육과정 개발에의 의의와 한계점을 보완하고 이를 종합하여 개발하였다. 결과 이를 토대로 ‘중학교 학교자율시간 운영을 위한 교과 융합 선택 과목 교육과정 학습 경험 선정 기준’과 ‘중학교 학교자율시간 운영을 위한 교과 융합 선택 과목 교육과정 개발 모형’의 ‘준비’, ‘계획’, ‘개발’, ‘적용’, ‘평가’ 총 5단계 및 각 단계별 하위 21개의 절차를 역동적인 순환이 가능하도록 구성하였다. 결론 개발된 ‘중학교 학교자율시간 운영을 위한 교과 융합 선택 과목 교육과정 학습 경험 선정 기준’과 ‘중학교 학교자율시간 운영을 위한 교과 융합 선택 과목 교육과정 개발 모형’을 각 학교급에 맞게 발전과 개선하는 연구뿐만 아니라 학교별 특색있는 중학교 학교자율시간 교육과정을 지속적으로 개발하는 연구를 제안하였다.

Objectives In this study, ‘The criteria for the learning experience of curriculum for middle school autonomous hours’ and ‘The model for convergence elective-subject curriculum development for middle school autonomous hours’ was developed as tools to develop a curriculum for elective-subjects to operate middle school autonomous hours. Methods Through literature review, the teacher-level curriculum development, school autonomous hours content composition standards, and the selection criteria of learning experience for each researcher's subject convergence curriculum development were analyzed, then, common and essential elements for school autonomous hours curriculum development were added and synthesized. Results Based on this, the model consisting of five steps, ‘Preparation’, ‘Design’, ‘Development’, ‘Implementation’, and ‘Evaluation’ and a total of 21 procedures below each step was constructed to enable a dynamic cycle of each step and procedure including ‘the criteria for learning experience of convergence elective-subject curriculum for autonomous hours operation in middle school’. Conclusions The developed ‘Criteria for learning experience of convergence elective-subject Curriculum for middle school autonomous hours’ and ‘Model for convergence elective-subject Curriculum for middle school autonomous hours’ were proposed to continuously develop a unique middle school autonomous hours curriculum as well as development and improvement research for each school.
