Research on Privacy Protection in Face Recognition Technology Application

With the widespread use of face recognition technology, face recognition technology provides convenience and efficiency for people, but at the same time, it also poses a major challenge to personal privacy and information protection. At present, the basic legal regulations of human face information exist, but it lacks special protection because of the particularity of human face information. China should improve the legal regulation of face recognition technology application as soon as possible, establish a unified market access system and industry norms, clearly stipulate the relevant obligations of face recognition technology application, strengthen citizens’ concept of “digital human rights”, give full play to the positive value of face recognition technology, while ensuring the rapid development of face recognition technology, also ensure the quality of its development.
