중도 뇌병변장애 자녀의 자립생활에 대한 부모의 인식 및 지원요구 고찰

Exploring Parents’ Perceptions and Support Needs for the Independent Living of Children with Severe Cerebral Palsy

연구목적 본 연구는 중도 뇌병변장애 자녀를 둔 부모들의 자립생활에 대한 인식과 지원 요구를 살펴보고, 이를통해 실천적 및 정책적 제언을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구방법 본 연구는 질적 연구 방법을 사용하여, 중도 뇌병변장애 자녀를 둔 부모 7명을 대상으로 개별 심층 면담을 진행하였다. 연구 참여자들은 목적표집과 눈덩이 표집을 통해 선정되었으며, 면담 내용은 전사 후 분석을통해 주요 주제를 도출하였다. 면담은 부모들의 자립생활 준비 과정과 그에 대한 인식을 깊이 있게 이해하기 위해 구성되었다. 연구결과 부모들은 자립의 중요성을 인식하면서도 의사소통 및 지원의 필요성에 대한 우려를 나타냈다. 주요지원으로는 활동지원사와 주거 지원, 정보 및 교육의 필요성이 강조되었다. 논의 및 결론 본 연구는 중도 뇌병변장애인의 자립을 위한 정책적 지원, 활동지원 인력의 안정적 공급, 부모 교육 및 정보 제공의 필요성을 제시하며, 공공과 민간 기관 간 협력 강화를 권고하는 바이다.

Purpose This study aimed to explore the perceptions and support needs of parents of children with severe cerebral palsy regarding independent living, and to offer practical suggestions and policy recommendations. Method A qualitative approach was used, conducting in-depth individual interviews with seven parents of children with moderate cerebral palsy. Participants were selected through purposive and snowball sampling. The interviews were designed to gain a deeper understanding of the parents’ preparation for and perceptions of their children’s independent living. The interview data were transcribed and analyzed to identify key themes. Results Parents recognized the importance of independence but expressed concerns about communication and the need for support. Key types of support identified included personal assistants and housing support, as well as the need for information and education. Discussion and Conclusion The study highlighted the need for tailored policy support, including stable personal assistance, appropriate housing, and better information for parents. It suggested strengthening collaboration between public and private sectors to effectively support independent living.
