During the period of socialist revolution and construction, Mao Zedong made arduous explorations of socialist education work in China. His important discourse covered the nature, goals, soul, principles, mission, leadership and reliance of socialist education work, and constructed the basic theory of socialist education work; Formed a teaching theory, research theory, and reform theory based on Marxism, creatively interpreting the specific laws of educational work. Mao Zedong’s important discourse on socialist education work is a complete form of Chinese Marxist education theory, which provides theoretical guidance for the cause of socialist education with Chinese characteristics and still has important value in the contemporary world education theory perspective.
