Succession Planning and Sustainability in Private Organizations: A Mediating Role of Talent Management in Delta State Nigerian

Purpose: The study examine the extent to which succession planning impacts organizational sustainability in private organizations by implementing talent management strategies. . In the current highly competitive business environ-ment in Nigeria, the concept of sustainability has great importance for private organizations. Design/methodology/approach: Data was collected using a questionnaire from a sample of 384 employees in pri-vate organizations located in Delta State, Nigeria. The researcher further examined the gathered data using Smart-PLS 4.0 and IBM SPSS analytic methods to evaluate the conceptual framework. Findings: The study findings indicate that talent management has a substantial and favorable effect on enhancing organizational sustainability. The author's research has revealed that the implementation of talent management strat-egies and succession planning has a substantial positive impact on the sustainability of private organizations in Nigerian. Research limitations/implications: This research might be used by scholars and practitioners to investigate the prevailing tendency among organization to prioritize the recruitment of new personnel and offering them more remuneration compared to their existing workers Originality/value: The research specifically focused on the use of talent management planning strategies to ensure organizational sustainability.
