중국 여성문학 속 여성해방 인식 변화 고찰 - 廬隱 『何處是歸程』, 張潔 『方舟』, 喬葉 『最慢的是活著』을 중심으로

A Study on the Change in the Perception of Women’s Liberation in Chinese female literature

본 연구는 중국 여성문학을 통해 시대별 여성해방 의식을 고찰하였다. 여성해방은 시대마다 그 모습을 달리하여 나타났고 이는 특히 사회적 변화가 컸던 1920년대와 1980년대에 두드러졌다. 5.4 신문화에 영향을 받아 여성운동에 앞장섰던 루인(廬隱) 과 문혁으로 억압당했던 여성의식을 다시금 일깨웠던 장지에(張潔), 그리고 기존 여성문학의 전통을 이어받아 오늘날 다원화 된 여성의 삶을 조명하는 차오예(喬葉)의소설에서 해방에 대한 여성들의 인식 변화를 고찰하였다. 루인의 『何處是歸程』 은 독립된 인격체로서의 인정과 자유를, 장지에의 『方舟』는 여성의 정체성을 긍정하고 진정한 평등의 실현을, 마지막으로 차오예의『最慢的是活著』 는 여성을 넘어 전 인류의 화합과 연대를 여성해방의 출로로 제시하였다. 이처럼 여성해방은 변화하는 시대마다 그 모습을 바꾸며 우리 사회 속에 존재해왔다. 이는 여성해방이 단순히 여성의 자유와 권리 실현에 국한되는 것이 아님을 의미한다. 보호받지 못하는 소시민의 고통과 사회 주변부 인물들의 삶을 통해 그간 묵인되어왔던 사회의 차별과 억압을 상기시켜 온 것이다. 그리고 이제 여성해방은 여성이라는 성별의 범위를 뛰어넘어 다원화되고 복잡해진 사회에서 보호 받지 못해 고통 받는 인간 그 자체에 주목한다. 전지구적 차원에서 해방을 추구하기 시작한 것이다.

This study examines the evolving discourse on women’s liberation in Chinese women’s literature across different historical periods. Significant changes were particularly evident during the 1920s and 1980s, when major social transformations shaped new understandings of gender roles and identities. Lu Yin (廬隱), Zhang Jie (張潔), and Qiao Ye (喬葉) explored women’s consciousness through fiction, each articulating a distinct vision of liberation. Lu Yin emphasized individual autonomy and self-awareness; Zhang Jie advocated for the affirmation of female identity and the pursuit of genuine equality; and Qiao Ye expanded the discourse by framing women’s liberation within a broader vision of human solidarity beyond gender. In the China history, women’s liberation has continuously adapted to changing social realities. Initially focused on women’s specific struggles, it also brought attention to the broader suffering of marginalized individuals excluded from protection. In recent years, the discourse has shifted beyond gender binaries, centering on universal human dignity and rights. As such, women’s liberation today signifies not only gender equality but also a more expansive vision of global human liberation.
