본 논문은 ‘아브젝시옹(賤斥)’과 ‘젠더 수행성(性别操演)’을 방법론적 토대로 삼아, 여성의 신체가 역사적 폭력, 윤리적 규율, 그리고 초국가적 맥락에서 수행하는 역동적 실천을 분석함으로써, 옌거링이 어떻게 ‘성-녀 이중성’(聖娼 二象性)을 해체하고 여성 주체성의 다양한 가능성을 재구성하는지를 밝히고자 한다. 옌거링의 서사 전략은 신체를 저항의 기호로 삼는 데 집중한다. 그녀의 소설에 등장하는 여성 인물들은 침묵, 패러디, 광기 등의 경계 넘기실천을 통해, 문화적 아브젝시옹 상태를 권력 질서를 해체하는 임계점으로전환시키며, 가부장적 담론이 신체에 부여한 기호적 규율을 전복하고 남성적 응시의 지배 논리를 붕괴시킨다. 초국가적 맥락은 이러한 저항의 차원을더욱 확장시킨다. 옌거링의 창작은 전통적 성별 서사의 도덕적 틀을 돌파했을 뿐 아니라, ‘성녀-창녀’라는 상징을 심판의 도구에서 문화 비판의 무기로재구성함으로써, 역사 서사 속에서 새로운 공간을 개척해냈다.

This article reveals how Yan Geling deconstructs the ‘Holy-Prostitute Duality’ and reconstructs multiple possibilities for female subjectivity based on the cornerstone methodologies of abjection and gender performativity through the analysis of female bodies dynamically experiencing in historical violence, moral disciplines, and transnational context. The core narrative strategy employed in Yan’s novels is to link bodies to the sign of resistance, where female characters convert cultural abjection into the critical point of right order destruction, disrupt symbolic disciplines in patriarchal discourse, and unravel dominating logic from the male gaze through transgression experience practiced by silence, parody and madness. Under the dual-abjection of colonial gaze and domestic morality, female bodies suspend violence logic through silence strategy, and converse themselves into the blank signifier yet incorporated. Yan Geling’s novels not only break the moral frameworks built by traditional gender, but also reconstruct the ‘Holy-Prostitute Duality’ from instruments for judgements to the weapons for cultural critique, and open new spaces in historical narrative.
