AI 피드백 기반 내러티브 EFL 수업 모형 개발 연구

A Study on an AI-Integrated Narrative EFL Instruction Model

This study investigates the effects of a narrative-based instructional model incorporating AI-mediated feedback in an EFL context. Seventeen university students participated in a 15-week advanced English conversation course, where they composed and revised personal narratives using both instructor guidance and optional AI feedback. Qualitative data collected through surveys and reflective writing indicated that personal storytelling enhanced learners’ creativity, authenticity, and self-expression. Meanwhile, AI feedback effectively improved grammatical accuracy and textual coherence. Despite these benefits, teacher intervention was essential in preserving the emotional nuance and contextual richness of students’ narratives. These findings suggest that a balanced integration of narrative instruction and AI support can foster learner motivation, support self-expression, and enrich EFL learning experiences by enabling students to articulate and present their unique stories in meaningful ways.
