자폐성 장애인의 학령기 비장애 형제자매 경험과 요구에 관한 체계적 문헌분석

A Systematic Review of the Experiences and Needs of School-aged Typically Developing Siblings of Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder

본 연구는 자폐성 장애인의 학령기 비장애 형제자매의 경험과 지원 요구를 종합적으로 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 지난 10년(2015-2024)간 국내외에 발표된 학술지 논문 중 기준에 따라 선정한 18편의 논문을 토대로 전반적인 연구동향을 살펴보았다. 연구 참여자는 총 310명이었으며, 비장애 형제자매 264명과 부모 46명이 참여했다. 분석결과 자폐성 장애인의 비장애 형제자매의 경험과 지원 요구를 크게 ‘가족 내 경험’과 ‘어려움과 지원 요구’ 두 가지 주제로 범주화할 수 있었다. 또한 각 문헌에서 제안한 비장애 형제자매를 위한 구체적인 지원 방안(예: 부모 역할 강화, 가족 중심 중재, 지원 전략 훈련 등)을 정리하였다. 끝으로 연구 결과를 바탕으로 자폐성 장애인의 비장애 형제자매 지원을 위한 유의점과 향후 연구 방향이 논의되었다.

This study aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the experiences and support needs of school-aged typically developing(TD) siblings of individuals with autism spectrum disorder(ASD). A systematic review was conducted using 18 peer-reviewed journal articles published in Korea and internationally between 2015 and 2024. The reviewed studies included a total of 310 participants, comprising 264 TD siblings and 46 parents. Findings were categorized into two main themes: (1) Experiences within the family and (2) Challenges and support needs. The review also systematically summarized specific support strategies identified in the literature, including enhancing parental roles, implementing family-centered interventions, and providing training in support strategies. Based on these insights, the study discusses key considerations for supporting TD siblings of individuals with ASD and outlines directions for future research.
