본연구는 TOCs의 대(對)선사 신용관리를 위한 신용평가에 관한 연속 연구의 첫 단계로 TOCs의 대(對)선사 신용 평가요인의 식별 및 중요도 평가에 관한 연구이다. 문헌 고찰과 실무 전문가 인터뷰를 통해 신용평가 지표를 3개 차원과 9개의 하위 지표로 분류하고, AHP를 활용하여 각 지표의 중요도를 평가하였다. 분석 결과, 상위 3개 차원은 상대적으로 유사한 중요도를 보였으나, 비재무적 지표의 중요도가 재무적 지표보다 높게 평가되었다. 하위 지표 중에서는 ‘연체금액 대비 신용한도 비율(0.237)’, ‘TOC가 처리한 선사의 연간 물동량(0.204)’, ‘TOC와의 거래 년수(0.094)’, ‘제3자 신용등급’이 상대적으로 높은 중요도를 나타냈으며, 이는 TOCs가 선사의 신용도를 평가하고 관리할 때 우선으로 고려해야 함을 시사한다. 도출된 지표의 중요도 값은 향후 선사의 성과 수치와 결합 되어 TOCs의 신용평가 및 신용관리 모델 개발에 활용될 것으로 기대된다.
This study represents the first phase of a sequential research project aimed at developing a credit evaluation and management model for terminal operating companies (TOCs) in assessing the creditworthiness of container shipping lines. Through a review of existing literature and interviews with industry experts, this study identified and classified nine credit indicators across three key dimensions. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was employed to determine the relative importance of each indicator. Results of analysis showed that three top-level dimensions had relatively similar levels of importance. However, non-financial indicators were found to be more influential than financial ones. Among the nine sub-indicators, the ratio of overdue credit to credit limit (0.237), annual throughput handled by TOC (0.204), length of business relationship with TOC (0.094), and third-party credit ratings were the most significant. These findings suggest that TOCs should prioritize these indicators when assessing and managing the credit risk of shipping lines. Derived weight values of credit evaluation indicators are expected to be integrated with shipping line performance data in future studies, contributing to the development of a comprehensive credit evaluation and management model tailored to the needs of TOCs.
