Deng Xiaoping’s Inheritance and Promotion of the “Three Major Styles” of the Communist Party of China During His Tenure in Southwest China

During its long-term revolutionary practice, the Communist Party of China has formed three fine traditions:integrating theory with practice, maintaining close ties with the people, and conducting criticism and self-criticism. In the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, when Deng Xiaoping was in charge of the work of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China's Southwest Bureau, he adhered to integrating theory with practice, analyzing specific problems specifically, and combining the central policies and guidelines with the specific realities of the Southwest region to carry out creative work; he closely united with the masses, adhered to the mass line, respected the historical subject status of the people, and emphasized mobilizing the masses to promote work; he fully utilized criticism and self-criticism to maintain ideological unity within the Party and unity among cadres, thereby safeguarding the unity and solidarity of the Party. During his tenure in the Southwest, Deng Xiaoping inherited and carried forward the Party's three fine traditions. Under his leadership, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China's Southwest Bureau smoothly implemented the central policies and guidelines, laying a solid foundation for the construction and development of the Southwest region of our country.

中国共产党在长期革命实践中形成了理论联系实际、密切联系群众、批评与自我批评三大优良作风。新中国成立初期，邓小平在主持中共中央西南局的各项工作中坚持理论联系实际，具体问题具体分析，将中央方针政策与西南地区具体实际相结合，创造性地开展工作；紧密地与群众团结在一起，坚持走群众路线，尊重人民群众的历史主体地位，注重通过发动群众来推进工作；充分运用批评与自我批评来维护党内思想的统一和干部之间的团结，从而维护党的团结和统一。邓小平在主政西南期间继承和发扬了党的三大优良作风，在他的领导下，中共中央西南局顺利地贯彻执行中央的各项方针政策，为我国西南地区的建设与发展打下了坚实的基础。
