The purpose of this study is to explore the application strategies of positive psychology in the management of college students' mental health, and to evaluate its impact on students' mental health. With the increasing psychological pressure faced by college students, the traditional mental health management model has gradually exposed its limitations, and innovative intervention strategies are urgently needed. As a theory that emphasizes individual advantages and psychological capital, positive psychology provides a new perspective for mental health management in colleges and universities. By combining literature review and empirical research, this paper analyzes the positive effects of positive psychological intervention on students' mental health, and the improvement in emotional regulation, psychological resilience and happiness. The results show that the intervention strategy of positive psychology can significantly improve students' mental health level and help students better adjust their mental state when facing the pressure of study and life. This paper also discusses the application effect of positive psychology in mental health education in colleges and universities, and puts forward that colleges and universities should consider students' individual differences, subject background and grade characteristics when implementing this strategy. The research provides specific implementation suggestions for mental health management in colleges and universities, including curriculum design, innovation of psychological counseling mode and campus culture construction.
