The Effect of Industrial Field Training of College Students Majoring in Hotels and Tourism on Job Preparation Behavior: Focusing on the mediating effect of career-decision self-efficacy

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of field training of college students majoring in hotel tourism on job preparation behavior and the mediating effect of career decision-making self-efficacy, and to present practical implications for employment career guidance that affects corporate information, field training attitude, and job preparation activity in the field training process. As a result of this study, First, it was found that field practice had a positive (+) significant effect on career decision self-efficacy in Hypothesis 1 of this study. Second, in Hypothesis 2, it was found that field practice had a positive (+) significant effect on job preparation behavior. Third, in Hypothesis 3, it was found that career decision-making self-efficacy had a positive (+) significant effect on job preparation behavior. Fourth, in Hypothesis 4, it was found that career decision-making self-efficacy plays a mediating role in the influence relationship between field practice and job preparation behavior. The results of this study are significant in that it presents a direction for the operation and management of practical education between schools and businesses, and it presents various types of internships or practical programs between schools and businesses, and operational management methods for students to achieve their employment goals, job-specific employment support and interview training, and career guidance.
