This study aims to examine the effects of the characteristics of DIY cosmetics manufacturing experiences on self-esteem and subjective well-being. For this purpose, 219 survey responses were analyzed using SPSS 27 through frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The key findings of the study are as follows: First, among the sub-factors of DIY cosmetics manufacturing experience characteristics—sensory, emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and relational experiences—sensory, emotional, and cognitive experiences were found to have a significant effect on self-esteem. Second, sensory, emotional, cognitive, and relational experiences were found to have a significant effect on subjective well-being. Third, self-esteem was found to have a significant effect on subjective well-being. Fourth, sensory and cognitive experiences were identified as the most influential factors affecting both self-esteem and subjective well-being. Therefore, to enhance self-esteem and subjective well-being through DIY cosmetics manufacturing experiences, it is necessary to develop integrated experience programs that emphasize visual, auditory, and olfactory elements along with learning and creativity.
