노인의 주거 및 지역사회 만족도가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향: 사회활동 참여의 매개효과

The Impact of Housing and Community Satisfaction on Life Satisfaction in Old Age-The Mediating Effect of Social Activity Participation-

본 연구의 목적은 주거 만족도 및 지역사회 만족도와 삶의 만족도 간의 관계에서 사회활동 참여의 매개효과를 실증적으로 검증하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 ｢2023년 노인실태조사｣로부터 65세 이상 노인 10,078명의 원자료에 대해 SPSS Wins와 SPSS PROCESS 4번 모델을 사용하여 빈도분석, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson 상관분석, 매개효과를 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 주거 만족도, 삶의 만족도, 사회활동 참여는 모든 사회인구학적 특성에서, 그리고 지역사회 만족도는 성별을 제외한 사회인구학적 특성에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 주거 만족도, 지역사회 만족도, 삶의 만족도, 사회활동 참여 간에는 모두 유의미한 상관관계가 있었다. 셋째, 주거 만족도가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향에서 사회활동 참여가 매개 역할을 하였다. 넷째, 지역사회 만족도도 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 사회활동 참여가 중요한 매개 역할을 하였다. 다섯째, 주거 만족도 및 지역사회 만족도가 사회활동 참여에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 증가한 사회활동 참여는 삶의 만족도를 높이는 데 기여하는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한, 사회활동 참여가 이 관계에서 부분 매개 역할을 한다는 점이 확인되었다. 마지막으로, 연구결과를 바탕으로 노인복지 정책과 실천 방안에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effect of social activity participation on the impact of housing satisfaction and community satisfaction on life satisfaction in old age. For this purpose, we analyzed raw data of 10,078 elderly people from the 2023 Elderly Survey using SPSS Wins and SPSS PROCESS macro 4. The main research findings were as follows. First, housing satisfaction, life satisfaction, and social activity participation showed significant differences in all sociodemographic characteristics, and community satisfaction showed significant differences in all sociodemographic characteristics except gender. Second, there were significant correlations between housing satisfaction, community satisfaction, life satisfaction, and social activity participation. Third, social activity participation played a mediating role in the effect of housing satisfaction on life satisfaction. Fourth, social activity participation played an important mediating role in the process of community satisfaction affecting life satisfaction. Fifth, housing satisfaction and community satisfaction positively affected participation in social activities, and increased participation in social activities contributed to higher life satisfaction. Additionally, it was confirmed that participation in social activities partially mediated this relationship. Finally, based on the research results, suggestions for elderly welfare policies and practical measures were presented.
