This study examines the educational effectiveness of a 16-week UI/UX course utilizing the Spatial metaverse platform. The hybrid learning format was implemented with 15 engineering students, featuring a main lecture hall and team activity spaces. Educational effectiveness analysis showed highly positive results. Both teaching presence and learning satisfaction averaged 5.87 points, with strong correlations between learning immersion and perceived usefulness (r=.933), as well as between perceived usefulness and satisfaction (r=.902). All measurement constructs demonstrated reliability with Cronbach's α coefficients above 0.7. Voice communication quality (46.7%) was identified as the primary improvement area, yet the metaverse platform successfully overcame spatial limitations while creating an immersive educational environment. The platform proved particularly effective for team projects, presentations, and discussions, outperforming traditional online classes. The research empirically confirms metaverse platforms' potential to address conventional online education limitations through enhanced instructor-learner interactions and improved collaborative learning experiences, demonstrating promise as a core platform for future educational innovation.
