Strategy Exploration of Digital Economy to Promote International Trade Between China and South Korea

Wevolution and industrial transformation, digital trade, as a key part of ith the promotion of a new round of scientific and technological rthe digital economy, is rapidly rising and reshaping the global trade structure. According to the World Trade Organization, global exports of digital delivery services reached us $4.1 trillion in 2022, accounting for 57.1 percent of global service exports. The scale of Chinas digital service trade also continues to expand, reaching 2.5 trillion yuan in 2022, and the import and export volume of cross-border e-commerce reached 2.1 trillion yuan, indicating that digital trade has become a new highlight and a new engine for the growth of international trade. In the rapid development of digital economy, international trade shows a diversified trend of development, which plays a positive role in the optimization and improvement of the traditional international trade system. Therefore, we should actively explore ways for the organic combination of digital economy and international trade, promote the orderly development of the transformation and upgrading of China-South Korea international trade, and lay a solid foundation for the development of China-South Korea international trade in a high-quality direction. This paper mainly analyzes and discusses the strategy of digital economy to promote the transformation and upgrading of international trade between China and South Korea, for reference only. With the acceleration of global economic integration, the international trading system is undergoing rapid transformation and upgrading. According to the latest data, the total value of global trade grew at an average annual rate of 5.4%, or 190% in 2017 and 2005 to $159.1 billion. At the same time, global crossborder investment has also achieved significant growth, with the stock of foreign direct investment growing from $9.2 trillion in 2005 to US $42 trillion in 2018. These data show that global economic integration is promoting the transformation and upgrading of the international trading system, meeting the requirements of the development of the international economic environment, and enhancing the core competitiveness of enterprises. With the increasingly close connection between digital economy and export trade, the information and communication technology built based on digital platforms such as mobile Internet has enriched the mode of export trade and accelerated the development of export trade industry. Especially for China and South Korea, two East Asian economies, the rapid development of digital trade has not only deepened the integration of the two economies, but also added new impetus to regional economic cooperation. Since the establishment of the China-ROK Free Trade Area, bilateral trade and investment cooperation has been continuously deepened. Digital trade, as an emerging form of trade, is becoming a new highlight of China-ROK economic and trade cooperation.
