Research on the Economy and Trade between Korea and China

Since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, bilateral exchanges in economic and cultural fields have gradually deepened. As for the two countries, they are important trading partners that depend on each other. With the RCEP taking effect in 2022 and the Korea-China Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed, economic cooperation between the two countries is showing new development. Up to now, it has evolved into a platform for regional trade cooperation. This is of great significance in a world where international trade protectionism is prevalent and tariff wars and unipolarization are prevalent. South Korea-China trade, which is set against the backdrop of “One Belt, One Road” proposed by China, has taken a step forward. It is how to further develop korea-China trade at a time when the changes in the world’s landscape are becoming more complex and uncertain. This study mainly focuses on the trade field to research and analyze the current status and opportunities of Korea-China economic and cultural exchange under the background of regional trade agreement, and put forward relevant suggestions so that the korea-China trade research can be further deepened.
