부모방임이 청소년의 차별가해경험에 미치는 영향: 우울의 매개효과와 친사회적 학교환경의 조절된 매개효과

The Influence of Parental Neglect on Adolescents' Experience of Discrimination: Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Depression and Moderated Mediating Effect of a Prosocial School Environment

목적 이 연구는 청소년을 대상으로 부모방임과 차별가해경험의 관계에서 우울의 매개효과와 친사회적 학교환경의 조절된 매개효과 분석을 목적으로 한다. 방법 한국청소년정책연구원에서 실시한 2022년 아동·청소년 인권실태조사 원자료 중 중학생 2,788명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. PROCESS macro 모델 4(매개효과)와 모델 7(조절된 매개효과)을 활용하여 회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 부트스트래핑 방법을 통해 매개효과와 조절된 매개효과의 유의성을 검증하였다. 결과 부모방임이 청소년의 차별가해경험에 미치는 영향에서 우울은 부분매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 부모방임은 차별가해경험에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라, 우울을 매개로 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 한편 친사회적 학교환경은 부모방임이 우울을 통해 차별가해경험에 미치는 영향을 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 청소년의 차별가해적인 행동을 예방하기 위해서는 부모의 양육태도와 청소년의 정서적 요인에 대한 개입과 함께 학교환경을 고려한 대응이 필요하다.

Objectives This study examined the mediating effect of depression and the moderated mediating effect of prosocial school environment on the relationship between parental neglect and the experience of discrimination among adolescents. Methods Data obtained from the 2022 Children and Youth human rights survey of Korea National Youth Policy Institute which covered 2,788 middle school students were analyzed using PROCESS macro Model 4 for the mediating effect and Model 7 for the moderated mediating effect, and the bootstrapping method was employed to verify the significance of each model effect. Results It was found that depression has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between parental neglect and the experience of discrimination. In other words, parental neglect not only directly affects the experience of discrimination, but also indirectly through depression. In addition, it was found that the more positive the prosocial school environment perceived by students was, the more the effect of depression on the experience of discrimination. Conclusions The results of this study suggest that it is necessary not only to intervene in negative parental raising attitudes and discriminating behavior caused by it but also to consider the influence of the school environment to prevent discrimination harming adolescents.
