일본어 교수 학습의 도구로서 챗GPT의 활용 방법 및 가능성에 관한 고찰 - 「비즈니스 일본어」 수업을 중심으로

A Study on the Application Methods and Potential of ChatGPT as a Tool for Japanese Language Teaching and Learning : Focusing on ‘Business Japanese’ Classes

This study explores the potential application of ChatGPT, a leading generative AI model, to “Business Japanese” classes and aims to identify new paradigms in foreign language education. To this end, the study specifically analyzed how ChatGPT’s functions-such as search, summarization, creative text generation, text verification, error detection, and conversation practice using voice interaction- could be utilized in the learning process. As a result, ChatGPT demonstrated its potential as a useful learning tool for activities such as corporate research, self-PR preparation, and conversation practice in simulated business scenarios. In particular, it was confirmed that ChatGPT provides substantial feedback in practicing polite language and appropriate expressions, and that combining it with other web tools can help create collaborative learning environments. However, limitations were observed in its ability to incorporate the latest information and handle individual contextual nuances. It was also revealed that the quality of the generated output heavily depends on the clarity and specificity of the prompts created by learners. Future research is required to develop systematic lesson designs and quantitatively analyze the learning outcomes to address these limitations.

本研究は、生成型AIの代表例であるChatGPTを活用し、「ビジネス日本語」授業における活用可能性を探求し、外国語教育における新たなパラダイムを模索することを目的とした。そのため、ChatGPTが提供する検索、要約、創造的文章の作成、文章検証、エラー検証対象生成、音声対話による会話練習などの機能が、学習過程でどのように活用できるかを具体的に分析した。その結果、ChatGPTは企業調査、自己PR作成、ビジネス場面を想定した会話練習などにおいて、有用な学習ツールとしての可能性が示された。特に、敬語の使用や表現の適切性を練習する過程で実質的なフィードバックを提供し、他のウェブツールと組み合わせることで協力的な学習環境が構築できることが確認された。一方で、ChatGPTには最新情報の反映や個別の文脈処理において限界が見られ、生成された結果物の品質は学習者が作成するプロンプトの質に大きく依存することが明らかになった。今後、これらの限界を補完するための体系的な授業設計や学習効果を定量的に分析する研究が求められる。
