체계적 문헌 고찰을 통한 국내 대학의 지속가능발전 연구 현황 및 과제 분석

A Systematic Review of Research Trends in Sustainable Development at Korean Universities

연구목적: 본 연구는 국내 대학의 지속가능발전 관련 연구 현황을 체계적으로 분석하고, 대학의 지속가능발전 실천을 위한 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 2010년부터 2024년까지 국내 학술지 관련 논문 32편을 최종 분석 대상으로 선정하여, PRISMA 2020 가이드라인과 Braun과 Clarke의 성찰적 주제분석 방법론, SDSN의 대학 SDGs 기여 프레임워크를 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과: 2020-2024년에 대상 논문 71.9%가 집중되었으며, 특히 ESG 관련 연구는 2020년 이후 91.7%가 발표되었다. 선정된 논문들은 ESD(46.9%), ESG(37.5%), SDGs(15.6%)로 분류되며, 주제별로는 교육과정·교수법, 대학경영·평가, 학생인식, 지역사회협력 등이 주요 관심사였다. 대학의 지속가능발전 실천은 교육, 연구, 운영, 외부리더십 등 네 영역에서 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 대학의 지속가능발전 기여를 위해 인식-실천 간극 해소, 시스템 통합 및 내재화, ESG 전략과 교육적 가치의 연계, 지역사회 기반의 사회적 책임 강화가 필요함을 시사한다.

Purpose: This study systematically analyzes research trends related to sustainable development in Korean universities. Method: Following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, 32 papers (2010-2024) were analyzed using Braun and Clarke's reflexive thematic analysis and SDSN's university SDGs framework. Results: Research surged after 2015, with 71.9% published during 2020-2024. Among the three main categories, ESD (45.5%), ESG (37.5%), and SDGs (15.6%), ESG studies showed remarkable growth with 91.7% published post-2020. Key topics included curriculum/pedagogy, university management/evaluation, student perceptions, and community partnerships. University practices emerged across four domains: education, research, operations, and external engagement. Conclusion: Universities need bridge awareness-practice gaps, institutionalize sustainability principles, strengthen community-based social responsibility, and align ESG strategies with educational values to contribute to sustainable development as key educational community actors.
