The Communist Party of China Leading Chinese Modernization: The Glorious Journey, Historic Transcendence, and Profound Implications

Adhering to the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is an essential requirement of Chinese-style modernization. Under the Party’s leadership, Chinese-style modernization has gone through four historical stages: breaking the ice, laying the foundation, making leaps, and forging new paths. It is precisely because of the Party’s leadership that Chinese-style modernization has achieved a comprehensive and fundamental historical transcendence over Western-style modernization in terms of purpose, essence, structure, and the level of exchanges, namely, “putting people first over capital supremacy”, “abandoning polarization for common prosperity”, “replacing growth supremacy with all-round coordination”, and “substituting civilizational coexistence for civilizational conflict”. These transcendences not only demonstrate the significant advantages of Chinese-style modernization over the Western modernization path, but also provide a new model for constructing a human civilization form. In these four aspects, Chinese-style modernization led by the CPC is of far-reaching significance in promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, opening up new frontiers for the Sinicization and modernization of Marxism, changing the world pattern, and promoting the Party’s self-improvement.

坚持中国共产党的领导是中国式现代化的本质要求。党领导中国式现代化，历经破题——奠基——跨越——拓新四个历史阶段。正是由于党的领导，使中国式现代化得以从宗旨、本质、结构以及交往层面对西方式现代化实现全面的根本的历史性超越，即“以人民至上碾压资本至上”“以共同富裕摒弃两极分化”“以全面协调淘汰增长至上”“以文明共生取代文明冲突”。这些超越不仅展现了中国式现代化区别于西方现代化道路的显著优势，而且还提供了建构人类文明形态的新范本。从这四个方面上讲，中国共产党引领的中国式现代化，具有促进中华民族伟大复兴、开拓马克思主义中国化时代化新境界、改变世界格局以及促进党的自我完善的深远意义。
