Eco-translatology is a theory that studies translation from an ecological perspective, emphasizing the interaction between translation and the ecological environment. In this paper, the researcher applies this theory to the comparative study between machine translation and human translation of scientific and technological texts, which will further expand and deepen the application field of eco-translatology, enrich its theoretical connotation, and further deepen the researcher’s understanding of eco-translatology. By comparing the machine translation and human translation of selected scientific and technological texts, the researcher explored the advantages and disadvantages of the translations in detail from the linguistic, cultural and communicative dimensions, so as to explore the benign interaction mode between human translators and machine translation in the context of artificial intelligence and promote the organic symbiosis of machine and human translation.
