语言服务视角下少数民族文化译介研究——以《人民文学》英文版《路灯》为例

Research on Translation and Introduction of Minority Culture from the Perspective of Language Service: A Case Study of the English Version of People’s Literature: PATHLIGHT

Language service is an indispensable issue in China’s language endeavors and a significant means to promote economic and social development. Previous research on language service has principally focused on industrial development and economic efficiency, whereas few studies pay attention to the role of language service in cultural dissemination, especially in facilitating the minority culture translation and introduction. Therefore, this study combines language service theory through a case study, taking the English version of People’s Literature, that is PATHLIGHT as an example to analyze the providers, content, methods, and recipients of language service. Meanwhile, it also proposes strategies for further developing and precisely targeting audiences with language service, aiming to pursue the convergence between language service and minority culture translation and introduction. In this regard, exploring the development strategies for the minority culture translation and introduction is of theoretical and practical significance for advancing the international dissemination of minority culture, presenting accurate, multidimensional and panoramic national characteristics of China in the new era, thus promoting the construction of China’s image.

语言服务是我国语言文字事业的重要课题,也是推动经济社会发展的重要途径。以往有关语言服务的研究主要关注产业发展和经济效能,较少有研究关注到语言服务促进文化传播的作用,尤其是促进少数民族文化译介的发展。因此,本研究基于语言服务理论,以《人民文学》英文版《路灯》为典型个案,分析民族文化译介在语言服务提供者、内容、方式和接受者等四方面的有效路径。同时,提出继续发展并精准面向受众的语言服务策略,希望寻求语言服务与民族文化译介的契合点。探究少数民族文化译介的发展策略,对推进少数民族文化的国际传播,展示新时代中国真实、立体、全面的民族特色,助推中国形象的构建具有理论和现实意义。
