어머니의 권위적 양육행동과 자녀의 미디어 중독 : 아동의 학업 스트레스의 매개효과

Mother's authoritarian parenting behavior and child's media addiction : mediating effect of child's academic stress

본 연구는 어머니의 권위적 양육행동과 자녀의 미디어 중독의 관계에서 아동의 학업 스트레스 조절효과를 확인했다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 2018 한국 아동패널 조사를 활용하여 초등학교 4학년 11차 자료를 분석하였다. 분석을 위해 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 활용하여 기술통계분석과 상관분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였고, Process Macro를 Model 4를 활용하여 매개분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 어머니의 권위적 양육행동과 자녀의 미디어 중독 수준 간의 관계를 아동의 학업 스트레스가 매개하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 아동의 학업 스트레스와 미디어 중독을 예방하고 관리하는 데 있어 어머니의 양육 방식, 특히 어머니의 권위적 양육행동이 미디어 중독 예방 및 관리에 중요한 역할을 할 수 있음을 보여준다. 나아가 학업 스트레스를 겪는 아동을 지원하는 정책 및 교육 프로그램에서는 어머니의 양육 방식을 고려한 접근이 필요함을 제안한다.

This study confirmed the effect of controlling for children's academic stress on the relationship between mothers' authoritative parenting behavior and children's media addiction. To this end, this study analyzed 11th data from the 4th grade of elementary school using the 2018 Korean Children's Panel Survey. For analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were performed using the SPSS 21.0 program and mediating analysis was conducted using Process Macro Model 4. The analysis revealed that the relationship between mothers’ authoritative parenting behavior and children’s media addiction level was mediated by children's academic stress. The results of this study show that the mother's parenting style, especially authoritative parenting behavior, can play an important role in preventing and managing media addiction in children's academic stress. Furthermore, it is suggested that policies and educational programs supporting children suffering from Academic stress requires an approach that considers mothers’ parenting methods.
