Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the effects of exoskeletal robotic gait training on the rating of perceived exertion, gross motor function, and physical activity levels in children with spastic cerebral palsy. Methods: This case study involved three children diagnosed with spastic cerebral palsy. They underwent 12 sessions of overground robotic gait training using an exoskeletal device. The following parameters were assessed: perceived exertion using the Borg scale, gross motor function measure, and physical activity levels measured using an accelerometer. Results: The gross motor function scores improved in all participants, with varying changes in perceived exertion and physical activity levels. Participant-specific responses highlighted the potential of tailored robotic training to enhance functional outcomes. Conclusion: This study highlights exoskeletal robotic gait training as a promising intervention for improving gross motor function and physical activity in children with spastic cerebral palsy and emphasizes the importance of individualized rehabilitation strategies.
