다문화청소년의 최초 비행에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구

Examining the Determinants of the Onset of Multicultural Adolescents’ Delinquency

본 연구는 사회학습이론, 사회유대이론, 일반긴장이론, 문화변용이론에서 제시된 변인들이 다문화청소년의 최초 비행에 미치는 영향을 검토하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원의 다문화청소년패널조사 자료(2013년 3차 ~ 2019년 9차)를 사용하여 이산시간분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 우울수준, 친구애착, 차별접촉, 다문화수용성이 높을수록 최초 비행 발생 가능성이 증가했으며, 반면 관여, 정의, 국가정체성이 높을수록 최초 비행 발생 가능성은 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 다문화청소년의 비행 원인에 대한 실증적 검토를 통해, 이들의 비행 예방 및 개입 전략 개발에 기여할 수 있는 시사점을 제공한다.

This study aims to examine the factors influencing the first delinquency of multicultural adolescents based on the variables suggested by Social Learning Theory, Social Bond Theory, General Strain Theory, and Cultural Adaptation Theory. The data from the Multicultural Adolescents Panel Survey (2013-2019) by the Korea Youth Policy Institute were analyzed using discrete-time event history analysis. The results showed that higher levels of depression, friend attachment, differential association, and multicultural acceptance were associated with an increased likelihood of first delinquency, while higher levels of involvement, social control, and national identity were linked to a decreased likelihood of first delinquency. This study contributes to the understanding of factors influencing the first delinquency of multicultural adolescents and provides practical implications for developing intervention and prevention strategies for this group.
