Gene Editing Technology Creates the Illusion of the “Perfect Body”: The Collusion of CRISPR Technology and Consumerist Aesthetics

In the context of consumerist aesthetic reconstruction, CRISPR-driven life science and technology is pushing the construction of the “perfect body” into the deep waters of biodata governance. The complicity of technological privatization and capital proliferation alienates the human body into a programmable biodata carrier, while social media algorithms, through the construction of an anthropomorphic landscape of genetic defects, alienate gene editing technology into a technological fetishism of body optimization. This biopolitical governance technique of standardized bio-indicators creates a closed-loop structure of data capital slaughtertechnological control-body alienation. To solve this dilemma, we can try to break through from four directions: first, to realize the normative division between treatment and enhancement, and to ensure the principle of the finiteness of technological intervention; second, to promote the boundary-keeping and boundary-breaking of technological governance, and to break through the limitations of a single governance system while adhering to ethical bottomlines; third, to promote the subjective breakthrough of the genetic era, to cultivate the public's techno-critical consciousness of the power of algorithmic discipline, and to deconstruct the standardized hegemony of the discourse system; and fourth, to reconstruct the discourse of the standardized biometric hegemony. The fourth is to reconstruct the ethics of embodied aesthetics and establish a body value coordinate system to resist technological alienation.

在消费主义美学重构语境下，CRISPR 技术驱动的生命科技正将“完美身体”的建构推向生物数据化生存的治理困境。技术私有化与资本增殖的共谋机制，使人体异化为可编程的生物数据载体，而社交媒体算法通过构建身体缺陷的拟像景观，将基因编辑技术异化为身体优化的技术拜物教。这种标准化生物指标的生命政治治理术，形成了资本宰制—技术控制—身体异化的闭环结构。破解该困境，可尝试从四个面向予以破局：一是实现治疗与增强的规范分野，确保技术干预的有限性原则；二是推进技术治理的守界与破界，在恪守伦理底线的同时突破单一治理体系的局限；三是推进基因时代的主体性突围，培育公众对算法权力规训的技术批判意识，解构标准化审美霸权的话语体系；四是重构具身化美学伦理，建立抵御技术异化的身体价值坐标系。
