본 연구는 17세기 현실비판가사인 「시탄사」에 대한 것으로 이 작품은 시국을 탄식하는 노래이다. 「시탄사」에 대한 세밀한 분석은 아직 이루어지지 않았는데, 작품의 길이가 짧고 작자미상인 것이 그 이유라 할 수 있다. 「시탄사」는 17세기의 세태를 비판적인 시각으로 기술하고 있으며, 본고에서는 이 작품을 내용상 크게 세 부분으로 나누어 고찰하고자 하였다. 「시탄사」의 첫 번째 부분에서는 국가의 양면성과 백관의 행태에 대해 폭로하고 있으며, 두 번째 부분은 광해조부터 현종조까지의 세태를 비난한다. 작자는 비판적인 시각으로 왕조별 가장 중요하다고 생각하는 세태와 특정인의 행실을 폭로하는 모습을 보인다. 세 번째 부분에서는 작자가 당면한 17세기의 세태를 경계하는 것으로 작품을 마무리하고 있다. 임진왜란을 전후로 하여 17세기 현실비판가사 작품들이 많이 창작되었는데, 「시탄사」에 대한 재평가는 반드시 이루어져야 하며 본 연구를 통해 「시탄사」의 위상도 재정립되어야 할 것이다.

This study is about “Sitansa”, a lyrics of 17th-century reality criticism, and this work is a song that laments the current situation. A detailed analysis of “Sitansa” has not been conducted yet, but the short length of the work and the unknown author is the reason. In this paper, “Sitansa” is largely divided into three parts in terms of content, and “Sitansa” examines the state of the 17th century from a critical perspective. The first part of “Sitansa” exposes the ambivalence of the state and the behavior of the white crown, and the second part criticizes the state from Gwanghaejo to Hyeonjongjo. The author shows a critical perspective of revealing the state of affairs that he thinks are the most important for each dynasty and the behavior of a specific person. In the third part, the work ends by being wary of the state of the 17th century that the author is facing. Before and after the Imjin War, many works of real-life critical lyrics in the 17th century were created, and the re-evaluation of “Sitansa” must be made, and the status of “Sitansa” should be re-established through this study.
