후지가와문고 소장본 『醫林撮要』에 대한 고찰

A Study on the Uilimchwalyo, Fujigawa Library Edition

Objectives : In the Bibliography of Korean Medical Books(朝鮮醫書誌), Miki Sakae introduced a Japanese edition of a Korean medical text titled Uilimchwalyocho(醫林撮要抄). However, errors in content related to the introduction of this book was discovered. Methods : The difference in content and construction between the manuscript version of the Uilimchwalyo held in the Fujikawa Library in Japan and Yang Yesu’s version was investigated. Results : Through this investigation, I confirmed that the information presented by Miki Sakae regarding the Fujikawa Library’s manuscript is inaccurate. The Fujikawa Library’s copy of Uilimchwalyo is, for the most part, an abstract of Yang Yesu’s Uilimchwalyo, and its content primarily focuses on medical theories and individual prescriptions. In the process of creating this abstract, some entries included the full content of the prescriptions, while others provided only sources or annotations, omitting the main content. In some cases, only single prescriptions or theoretical discussions were excerpted. Conclusions : Therefore, it is appropriate to refer to this work as a manuscript copy of the Uilimchwalyo. I also hope that more thorough examinations will be conducted on the bibliographic information and content of not only this book but other texts introduced in the Bibliography of Korean Medical Books.
