Objectives : This study examined key educational philosophies and institutional approaches to Classical Korean Medicine education across historical periods, with an emphasis on future curriculum reform in the digital AI era. Methods : A historical-comparative approach was used, analyzing educational records and curricula from Joseon to modern universities, including recent pedagogical innovations such as PBL, TBL, and AI-assisted learning. Results & Conclusions : Joseon-era education stressed memorization and Confucian learning. Despite colonial suppression, private efforts preserved classical training while incorporating Western medicine. Post-war universities formalized classical texts, and since the 1990s, curricula evolved through standardization, clinical integration, and digital tools. From the 2010s, AI-enhanced platforms increased accessibility and prompted reflection on human-centered learning. Classical texts remain vital in fostering diagnostic thinking and philosophical depth. Korean Medicine education reflects an ongoing negotiation between tradition and modernity. Curricula should integrate digital tools while sustaining deep engagement with classical thought. Classical texts continue to offer essential foundations for holistic, future-ready practitioners.
