검사 타당도 분석 및 활용 방안 연구: 중학교 영어듣기능력평가를 중심으로

Analyzing Test Validity and Applications: Evidence from the Nationwide English Listening Proficiency Test for middle school students

This study examined the 2024 First English Listening Comprehension Test for middle school students using Classical Test Theory (CTT) and Item Response Theory (IRT). The results showed high reliability (.86-.89) and discrimination (.53-.57), with mean scores ranging from 68.5% to 78.8%, confirming the validity of the test. Item analyses indicated appropriate difficulty and strong discrimination, and practical suggestions for improvement and instructional use were provided. Key implications include the need for new item types, extended testing formats, multiple administrations, and the adoption of computer-based and EdTech-supported assessments. This study highlights the test’s validity and offers insights for item development and educational policy.
