This study aimed to investigate the relationship between married people, body image perception, self-esteem, and positive emotion, as well as to examine the connection with beauty services to provide fundamental data for the development of the beauty industry. The research method involved collecting data from 374 married people using a self-administered questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis using SPSS 22.0. The analysis of the general characteristics of the respondents showed that most were in their 30s, female, had a monthly income between 2 million and 3 million KRW, worked in professional occupations, and held a university degree. Validity and reliability analyses identified three factors for body image perception: body image importance, body image verification, and body image confidence. Self-esteem was categorized into social self-esteem and general self-esteem, while positive emotion was identified as a single factor. The findings of this study indicated that body image perception significantly affects self-esteem and also has a significant impact on positive emotion. Furthermore, self-esteem was found to have a significant influence on positive emotion.
