In the beauty industry, human resources are a core asset and a key driver of organizational success. As such, fostering individual growth and implementing strategies for mutual advancement are essential. Empowering leadership grants employees responsibility, authority, and autonomy, fostering intrinsic motivation and enhancing their capabilities. This study aimed to examine the impact of empowering leadership on job satisfaction and job performance, with self-esteem as a mediating factor, to provide foundational insights for human resource management in the beauty industry. To achieve this, a self-administered offline survey was conducted over seven days, from November 11 to November 18, 2024, yielding a final sample of 274 responses. Data were analyzed using SPSS 29.0, employing frequency analysis for general characteristics and factor and reliability analyses for empowering leadership, job satisfaction, and self-esteem. Multiple regression analysis was also carried out to assess the mediating effect of self-esteem on the relationship between empowering leadership, job satisfaction, and job performance. The results indicate that empowering leadership has a significant positive impact on job satisfaction, job performance, and self-esteem. Furthermore, self-esteem was found to partially mediate the relationship between empowering leadership and both job satisfaction and job performance. These findings suggest that empowering leadership can be strategically utilized in the beauty industry to attract and develop skilled professionals, thereby promoting growth for beauty businesses and related enterprises. From an academic perspective, this study enhances understanding of the interrelationships among these key factors, offering valuable insights for future research across various disciplines.
