미용전공 대학생의 마인드셋이 그릿, 자기주도 학습능력에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Cosmetology College Students' Mindset on Grit and Self-Directed Learning Ability

This study conducted a self-authored questionnaire survey of college students majoring in beauty to discover the effects of mindset of students majoring in beauty on grit and self-directed learning ability. As a result of the study, first, it was found that growth mindsets had a significant positive (+) effect on interest maintenance, effort continuity, and situation adaptation, as fixed mindsets had a significant negative (-) effect on effort continuity and situation adaptation. Second, growth mindsets were found to have a significant positive (+) effect on cognitive, affective, and behavioral areas, as fixed mindsets were found to have a significant negative (-) effect on affective and behavioral areas. Third, it was found that interest maintenance, effort continuity, and situation adaptation had a significant positive (+) effect in the cognitive, affective, and behavioral areas of grit. These results suggest that education that fosters growth mindsets and grit in beauty education is important to enhance the students' self-directed learning ability. Therefore, a teaching strategy that stimulates emotional motivation and induces growth is required to contribute to professional improvement by strengthening immersion and achievement in majors with a learning attitude that sets goals and promotes steady practice.
