중학생의 통계적 소양 진단을 위한 축약형 평가 도구 개발

Development of a Short-Form Instrument for Assessing Middle School Students' Statistical Literacy

본 연구의 목적은 Jeong(2024)이 개발한 통계적 소양 평가 도구를 기반으로, 문항 수를 줄이면서도 진단 기능을 유지할 수 있는 축약형 평가 도구를 개발하고, 그 타당도와 신뢰도를 검증하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 기존의 23개 문항으로 구성된 도구에서 G-DINA 모형 기반의 문항 분석과 전문가 검토를 통해 총 7개 문항을 제외하고, 최종 16개 문항으로 구성된 축약형 평가 도구를 개발하였다. 분석 결과, 문항별 모수 추정치와 Q-행렬을 고려한 문항 적합도 및 인지 요소별 균형성을 확보하였고, 모형 적합도와 분류 정확도 또한 적절한 수준으로 나타났다. 그리고 원본 도구와의 인지 요소별 숙달 수준에서 높은 수렴 타당도를 보였다. 본 축약형 평가 도구는 진단 기능을 유지하면서 학교 현장에서의 활용 가능성과 실용성을 높일 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

This study aimed to develop a short-form version of the statistical literacy assessment instrument for middle school students, originally developed by Jeong (2024) while maintaining its diagnostic function, and to examine its validity and reliability. Cognitive diagnostic analysis based on the G-DINA model and expert reviews were employed to remove seven items from the original 23-item instrument, resulting in a 16-item short form. Analyses of item parameter estimates and the Q-matrix confirmed acceptable item fit and a balanced distribution of items across cognitive attributes. The short-form instrument also demonstrated satisfactory model fit and classification accuracy, as well as strong convergent validity in attribute mastery compared with the original version. These results indicate that the short-form instrument retains the diagnostic function of the original version while enhancing its practicality and usability in school settings, thereby indicating its significance for educational application.
